The hungover peace movement, baby

Fredsbevegelsen Fyllesjuk i Folkedrakt, loosely translated as the hungover peace movement in folk costumes, is a rambling, roving band rising from the dark recesses of the Norwegian underground. We play heart-rending gypsy cabaret and spiffy spaghetti jazz with a hell-bent attitude and a strong element of improvisation.

The band consists of

  • Tone Wasbak Melbye on vocals, guitar, violin, cow bell and whatever else she gets her hands on.
  • Tale Fjell Egeberg on guitar, backing vocals, glockenspiel and whatever else she feels like.
  • Even Tømte on trumpet, flugelhorn and ofher quirky wind instruments.
  • Kristian Haugland on base, guitar, and all kinds of complicated variations over string instruments.
  • Jørn Slemdal and Matthijs Holter on percussion and charm.
